Chapelfield Elementary School Counselor

My name is Krysten Jasin and this is my first year as the School Counselor at Chapelfield, but my 14th year teaching in Gahanna.  I have spent the past 13 years as an Intervention Specialist at Middle School West and then Jefferson Elementary.  I am excited and eager to shift into this new role as your School Counselor!  I received both my bachelor's degree in Special Education and my master's degree in School Counseling from the University of Dayton.  I reside in Gahanna with my husband and two young children.  I am proud to live, work, and raise my own children in this amazing community!

Our comprehensive school counseling program follows the recommendations of the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) to address the social/emotional, career, and academic development of all students.  We are dedicated to helping students become skilled problem solvers, leaders, and learners.   I work with all students – in conjunction with parents, teachers, and staff – to remove barriers to student learning and encourage success.  I support students so they can grow academically, socially, and emotionally, in order to become productive citizens and life-long learners.
